It has nasty hooked thorns, climbs up trees. Just started flowering - tiny white fowers - five petals. It grows wild and seems invasive. I live in upstate NY. My wife thinks wild roses, but I can't find a match on the internet. Any ideas?

The hooked horns make me think a rose.
Reply:Sounds like aparagus fern to me. It has the hooked thorns and the climbing habit as well as tiny white flowers.
