Ideas for wedding colors?

I am having my wedding at the wild animal park but do not want to do any animal prints any color ideas for an october/november wedding

I hate pink and wouldn't want black a main color

I was thinking maroon or mindnightblue but idk.. any color ideas for bm's dresses flowers

Ideas for wedding colors?
we are doing navy blue and champaign they look very classy together and are simple nutral colors that you can bounce off whatever color flowers you go with.

they can also be used any time of year and still suit the occasion :o)
Reply:I am doing a November wedding and I am using purples (or you can use your maroon) and browns. Of all different shades and tints of those colors, you'd be amazed on how easy it is to find them and how well they compliment. You can make it more formal by adding velvet ribbons to the bouquets. Or really earthy with twig accents.

Here is a Martha Stewart website that gave me inspiration:

Good Luck!
Reply:i had an outdoor wedding in october and i used red for the dresses and then i made my own bouguets out of fall colored flowers that are abundant in craft stores starting in summer. it looked beautiful in the pictures with the outdoor backdrop. you could select some flowers you like then find a dress color that acentuates them. i would stick to natural colors but that time of year allows you a wide variety of colors to pick from.
Reply:the two colors your going for are perfect! :)

around October and November the colors are dark.

i mean you wouldn't have a yellow wedding in December would you?

no.

its just that the dark colors look better around that season.

trust me my Quince colors were a midnight blue, with silver.

and it was in November.

it looked beautiful.
Reply:I used black and white and it was absolutely stunning. I threw in peach for an accent color. Granted that was 19 years ago... but everyone thought I was nuts then too... and it became the 'in thing' to do.

You have to just go with your gut. If no one else likes it, stick to your guns. We made all my BM dresses and I basically designed them how I wanted (I mixed colors). My family said, 'we will make 1 first, because I am sure you are not going to like it' After the first one was made, everyone kept saying 'L, how beautiful'. I used the same bodice for my dress and the girls. (yes, my dress was homemade as well)

It is your day. Go with what you and your fiance want... and don't worry about anyone else!!!

(I have a friend who is doing brown and light blue in a flower garden next month... they are gorgeous together!!!) In the fall, I am so partial to reds and oranges!!!
Reply:Erm midnight blue would be nice but what colour flowers? what about green and white: http://www.teleflorist.co.uk/er04/catalo...

or violet?
Reply:How about a hazel color for the dresses?

And you could use wild flowers. Those would look really pretty if you're going for a natural kinda look, for the autumn season.
Reply:if you can go to the area get pictures of the flowers and trees, try to use natural colors like cream, caramel, honey, greens, or golds, mabie even some reds
Reply:Here is one idea from our group members:-)
Reply:Go to a local hardware store and get paint chips in colors you like. Take them home to mix and match until you get a combo you love.
Reply:maybe brown and blue?

or sumthing with orange or red since they r fall colors?

i think maroon is a beautiful color for bm dresses!

as for the flowers how bout yellow daisies and white roses?
Reply:How about brown dresses with orange or red flowers? Thats nice for fall. And they are outdoor colors.
Reply:for your situation i would say maroon :)
