Any side effects?

i have been having a few drops of dr.schulze's female formula everyday for more than a year with small gaps inbetween. it's a herbal hormone balancing formula containg herbs like dong quai root, chaste tree berry, wild yam root, damiana leaf, hops flower and liorice root. i actually started having it because i thought it would balance my hormones, thus stopping hair fall. it helps a bit with the hairfall, though not too much. but i'm realizing that i've gained 10 pounds and am not able to lose the weight, no matter what. could this be the reason? also, could this have any other side effect? i know i should'nt bring this up, but do herbal medicines have some kind of steroid in them? afterall, they are not fda validated... it's just a fear...

Any side effects?
Plants often have phytoestrogens in them - natural plant-derived female hormones. Though very feeble compared to human estrogens, they do have some estrogenic effects. yes indeed - weight gain can result - from phytoestogenic plants %26amp; herbs.

herbal drugs often have steroid-related substances in them. yes they can and do have. Best to avoid herbs which are intended for female use.

We don't want the FDA to control these herbs. We want to be fre e to use %26amp; buy without a bloody Dr's prescription %26amp; pharmacy ripoff price. You must do research %26amp; use your judgement. it's your life %26amp; your body - don't try to involve the FDA - they are agents of Satan himself.

hair loss is genetic in origin %26amp; needs advanced genetic therapy. herbs do not have the power to stop it. But I don't blame you for trying. You live %26amp; you learn. Experience is the best teacher.

But avoid the female herbs as much as you can. they can indeed upset your hormonal reactions. use common sense.
Reply:i would think the side effects are probably due to something undiagnosed, not the herb concoction.

i don't have much faith in the herbal remedies because they just don't work and certainly don't do a thing but maybe make you feel better if just for a little while. chances are your hair loss is a normal thing associated with aging or again, disease you might have....

i had hcv and my hair fell out....along with other symptoms that went undiagnosed until into my mid 30's.

good luck

p.s. dont waste your money. can the herbs. your body will only absorb what is needed, the rest literally goes down the toilet. studies are being done going on two years now where herbs are concerned and there is not much promising data to back up all the claims. you might also find that what your taking is in many concoctions.....one thing certainly wont do it for everyone!
