Stupid Boy by Keith Urban?

well, she was precious like a flower

she grew wild, wild but innocent

a perfect prayer in a desperate hour

she was everything beautiful and different

stupid boy, you can't fence that in

stupid boy, it's like holding back the wind

she let her heart and soul right in your hands

and you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans

she never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens

when the only voice she hears is telling her she can't

stupid boy, stupid boy

oh

so what made you think you could take a life

and just push it push it around

I guess you build yourself up so high

you had to take her and break her down

she let her heart and soul right in your hands

and you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans

she never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens

when the only voice she hears is telling her she can't

you stupid boy

oh, you always had to be right but now you've lost

the only thing that ever made you feel alive

yeah, yeah

Stupid Boy by Keith Urban?
i wouldny laugh at you. i love that song but you cant be sure of everybody. i can tell you people will laught at you but you cant let it get to you. humiliation is something we cant be bothered by. no matter what. right now im bothered by huminiation but im taking a public speaking class next year to help me
Reply:Well i am 18 and graduating this year it depends on the twist you are going to put on it to me the song is about a boy who thinks the girl is there to be his not to be her own individual. I think that it would be great and i also think that anyone (guys) who make fun of you will do so for the fact that they think that women are here for us. In essence just go with it, it could actually turn out to cause some good convo.
Reply:hell no its an awesome song, and no one should make fun of you for listening to a certain type of music, and if they do they arent worth the worry. play it and be proud of it!! i love keith urban, i love country, and i dont give a **** what people say
Reply:Honey if they tease you because it's a guy song you can tell them that a GIrl wrote the song "Stupid Boy" Just tell them that because it is 100% true. Its in A G D and theres also a Bm in there aliittle ways into ther song!! Play LOUD Play PROUD!! and if they just don't like country it will be fun for you t omake them sit through it!! HAVE FUN!!!
Reply:Great song to pick. I think that it's also a perfect song for your age group. Violence in relationships can really start to appear in high school, because teens are just starting to get into more serious relationships. Here is a web site with some great facts you can use.

Reply:Get the original version of that song. done by SARAH BUXTON, a WOMAN - she was one of the people who co-wrote the song. I've linked to the CD in the sources section
Reply:I would not laugh of your taste, everybody has the right to like whatever they want.
Reply:That is a awesome song and has a good meaning to it so sounds good to me!
Reply:Keith Urban is a pretty mainstream artist %26amp; I wouldnt even consider that song country. I always hated projects like this when I was younger. You are at risk for embarassment no matter what you do as a teenager. Kids are so mean anymore! Good luck, hon
Reply:I wouldnt laugh at you. I listen to country and I dont personally like that song for some reason. But it will be a heck of alot better than most of your class is gonna pick, probably talking about hurting themselves, drugs, money and fighting. Even if they did pick on you, screw them. Kids are cruel, who cares!!!
Reply:I love that song!!! And who cares if other people don't like country music. I love country music and I'm hispanic.. Alot of people ask me why the hell I listen to it, but I listen to music for the words and the beat. Not just because it's a certain type of genre! I say do it!!! It's a great song.
Reply:I'm 16 and Iove this song and I would so choose that as my song also...It is a great song and plus Keith Urban is hott!!! Of course you definantly need to choose it...lol!!!! Country Rocks!!!! I love Country Music!!!!
Reply:i love his songs and since this is one of his newer ones good choice. I had to do something like you are doing and played a Garth song. So what if a majority don't like country, its one song and they will live thought it.
Reply:i think it would be a great choice and i wouldnt laugh at you but maybe if a guy picked that song i would laugh but no%26gt; i think its a perfect song to choose. its got alot of meaning
Reply:I think that's a great song to talk to your class about.. Its lyrics are actually very meaningful, unlike a lot of other songs out there.. songs that the rest of your class will probably be using.. I doubt anyone would laugh.. And if they do, so what? Don't be embarassed about your taste in music, or embarassed about yourself. It's a good song.
Reply:Hunny, I say stand up for what you like. For my senior English project, I learned to play the guitar. I had to show that I actually could and what song did I pick to play? "Did I Shave My Legs for This" by Deanna Carter. I sang "Dear Me" by Lorrie Morgan and "One Way Ticket" by LeAnn Rimes at the talent show! Kids did tease a little, but believe it or not most of them acted like they respected me for standing up for what I believe in , after all "I was country when country wasn't cool!"
Reply:that's an awesome song, I love it!

It's got such beautiful lyrics..

I think your class would be fine with it, everyone have different tastes in music anyways.
Reply:When I was your age I was afraid people would laugh at me for listening to country music...but now I realize that my fears were only because I was self concious about my self...I have learned that once you are out of school no one will pay any attention to this stuff...dont stress about it ...that song is a wonderful song to pick and keith urban is more contemperary country then redneck country anyways....and who knows this song may teach a few of them a thing or two!
