I love bunnies ~ and I was just wondering.......?

do you have wild bunnies eating your garden? I mean, where I live, we don't have wild bunnies. I wonder if I would still love bunnies if they kept "visiting" and eating my garden and flowers.

If you have wild bunnies who visit you, do you think they're cute or a nuisance?

I love to garden! And no I don't want a bunny eating my garden ... :) .... but we had a bunnies where we use to live and they came each night to visit. I love bunnies too tho, so our children and I decided to leave a huge dinner set out each night just for them. The garden patch was on one side of the house and we put the bunny patch a few yards away. With all the cabbage, carrots and good cuttings from the kitchen from making a salad was already cut up and smelling good to them, they didn't bother hopping over to the garden crops we were growing. In time they allowed us to get closer and closer to throw them some other goodies and didn't run away. The other benefit was eating a huge salad every day so just so we could have the scraps.

Their droppings (poo poo) is a great natural source for amending the clay soil and a compost pile! This is why where we live now, we have a pet bunny, Mopsey. We love her more in her kennel then in a pot. She lives with us in the house but loves to go for a walk and garden too. Only problem is that she prefers to dig up the flower bulbs I just planted, but at times I can get her to dig the hole for me instead! I wouldn't dream of not having her to garden with or live with....we love her.
Reply:I can't shoo off those bunnies! They are extremely cute, yes you are right! I'd make a garden for them. I can't even shoo off the ants, they seem so helpless, honest! You seem to be a nature lover (spec. bunny lover); congrats!
Reply:Cant they be both cute and a nuisance?

I vote for that.

Reply:Yes I have these cute little bunnies eating up my garden. That's the downside. The upside is I'm having more delicious rabbit stew than I ever have.
Reply:if they eat the garden that I've been tending? I would only have one thing to say: my carrots would go better alongside those rabbits in a stew.
Reply:No, I don't have that problem but if they were a pest I would send you all of them first class. Yes, bunnies are cute. I got to take care of one when my neighbor was away on trips. Loved carrots. When they eat their nose wiggles.
