What's your favorite flower, and where did you first see it?

Mine is Violets, the kind that grow wild in your backyard.

I have too many to list a single favorite, but in my top 10 would have to be tulips. They remind me of my mom who is Dutch. ;)
Reply:Mine is carnations. Saw them all the time, especially in bouquets, but they didn't become my favorite until I saw them growing in someone's yard along the sidewalk and I stopped one day on my way home from school to smell them. I fell in love the spicy scent home grown carnations have right then and they became my favorite.
Reply:Mine is more of a plant. It's called a bleeding heart plant. My great grandmother had them on her back porch where I used to play, and I always thought they were so beautiful. It's amazing to me how the buds are shaped like hearts. Now I have them on my back porch, and I hope my children will have fond memories of touching the soft heart shaped buds. I would much rather recieve a plant than a flower. Flowers die and don't come back. My bleeding heart plants bloom each year bringing memories of someone I hold dear.

Reply:Bee Balm, This was the first time I had ever seen it, and the last. I have tried numerous times to restart it, without success. I just keep on trying.
