What do you enjoy most about nature?

I enjoy the touch of the warm wind on my face as it blows through the trees, the smells of wild flowers surrounding me, the sounds of the crystal water as it races down the silver stream, and the taste of wild blueberries growing among the ferns.

What do you enjoy most about nature?
I enjoy the beauty: the variety, the textures, the lines, the colors, the sounds, the feels, the tastes, the smells.

The smell of freshly mown hay, roses, ligustrums, gardenias, and ginger flowers. The taste of fresh fruit. Blue sky filled with billowy clouds; cool breeze on a summer afternoon. Cool creek water swirling around my legs. The breaking of the waves at the surf and the feel of the water as it rolls by. The sounds of small barely visible birds high atop the trees. The calico quilt of roadside flowers. The silence broken by the softest sounds. The crash of thunder and the smell of rain.
Reply:I love the wind. I love the sound as it roars, I love it when it whistles down a canyon, I love it when its power is frightening, I love it when it is gentle and soft on my face.

I love rain. I love thunder and lightning and storms so powerful they knock out the lights and leave me in candlelight. I love to watch the rain, and dance in it as well. The sound of water, rushing or trickling or bubbling, is music to me. I love the majesty of a waterfall and the light spray that sprays those close to it.

I sat on the balcony of my in-laws condo on Deltona Beach Shores, FL, and watched Hurricane Dennis (the gentle one) travel up the ocean... it was incredible. Close enough to enjoy the wind and rain, but far enough to avoid the fury.
Reply:One never is short of things on which to write

Like butterflies flitting in the bright sunlight

Or the pleasant aroma of the blossoming trees

That wafts in the air of the freshening breeze.

In the vastness of Nature i do seem quite small

Like a wee grain of sand to a massive football

And the wonders of Nature are a magical thing

And the praises of Nature i feel happy to sing.

Us humans are part of Nature that's how it seems to me

And though many with what i have said may well not agree

On our very existence Nature has the say

And our remains in her bosom are destined to lay.

The one true immortal she lives on in time

So often has Nature inspired me to rhyme

To her vast distant oceans her great rivers flow

Yet so little of her ways i do seem to know.

I do my best to describe the great beauty i see

The wonders of Nature that are all around me

And the beauty of Nature never ceases to inspire

And of singing her praises could one ever tire?
Reply:I like to sit at the edge of a cornfield in complete silence and listening to the breeze as it rushes through, making it rustle and sing. It almost looks like waves on the sea.

One needs to walk to where there isn't any roads for this to be perfect! If it is a hot sunny day and the corn has that shimmering golden haze, so much the better...

Reply:The sound of water.

Whether it be a ocean, lake, or stream..I love the sound of it.

Also hiking on a coldish day in deserted mountains, but with all the psychos out there, it does make me want to play it a bit more safe.
Reply:i love how the sky looks (at any given time).

it amazes me how some paintings' skies look so real. i wish i had that talent.

what i also love is the sound of nature. from leaves rustling to coyotes howling.
Reply:i think i just either threw up or fell in love lol

i live out in the country on the lake. i love it. fishing every other day and the boating to the deserted island that has an awesome beach on it
Reply:I love the sounds of nature- No phones, no cars, no people, and yes, even no barking dogs!

Reply:walking around the forest of Southeast Asia as a backpacker ........just imagine but so much fun :)
Reply:The sound of a gun shot followed by the sound of a 10 point buck hitting the dirt...
Reply:I had a friend once who said I should worship Tefnut...a little known Egyptian deity and one of the few that are directly connected to rain...

I very much love the rain...
