Hey, uh, a few things.

1:is there any way to time travel forward and NOT get any weeds?

Heres a good tip for you.

1:buy a spare shovel and bury it. The next day, get it out and it should be a golden shovel.

2:Get your axe and chop down a tree.Use your Golden Shovel to get the stump out, but DO NOT fill the hole back in.

3:Make sure you have 10,000 bells on hand and put 10,000 bells in the hole.You should see a sprout. And in 5 days you should see 90,000 bells on the tree!!!!!Oh, this cheat only works once, EVER, nad you can only harvest the tree once. :-(

Oh well. Anyways, u should try it. Oh, and just in case, to make sure it grows, put a 4 leaf clover in front.
