I've noticed that sometimes a big red flower appears with flies all around in in random places in Animal Crossing Wild World. What's it for? or is it just there so you can catch flies?

i got a lota ideas about that
1) have u been time traveling?
2)pick some weeds if u have them every where
3)listen to the citizens complaint or w/e it is in the hall thing

Pick them. It might take forever but itll get those weird 'flowers' to go away.
