We're bringing horses and a pony in to our pastures soon and do not want them to be in stalls. I've read comments on ponies overeating on grass/hay, but our pasture has weeds, dandelions, clover, yellow flower, you name it....it's wild forage. But would like to keep her out with the horses. One of the horses is a Fresian that has a slow metabolism. Would 24/7 on wild forage be good for him?

We live in NC, with lots of clay and pastures with wild forage. Cautions for horses or pony on 24/7 turn-out?
