I call them certifiable days and they are usually in the spring. The grass is green and the wild flowers are blooming. The birds are singing and the chickadees are doing their mating call. It 70 degrees and no wind or clouds. The sun's warmth is like a gentle kiss. All of nature is eminating beauty.
What would your perfect day look like?
A day just like today. Warm with just a hint of a breeze. A long walk with the dogs in the morning, a bit of gardening in the afternoon and drinking in the beauty of the hundreds of daffodils in my garden and on the roadside. Perfect!
(This is in the South West of Scotland - Burns Country).
Reply:Any day that I wake up breathing and healthy as well as with my family is a perfect day.
Rain or shine, hot or cold- it's another day to be alive.
:-)
Reply:I'd make that 75-with just a touch of wind to blow the trees into motion. There would be blue jays and hummingbirds and maybe a sparrow or two. We'd make a nice lunch in a basket so we could take it to the park or a big meadow. It would be nice if there was a small stream that gently ran over some stones. We'd have to have something to play music because without music-life is a mistake. We wouldnt have to do anything spectacular. Just a nice family day in the sun. No harm dreaming every now and then is there?
Reply:Worm sunshine and lots that needs to be done outside. That is not here today!
Reply:75 or so degrees on a clean, unpolluted California beach in June. A picnic with all my family, their dogs, and a lot of love. Taking plenty of pictures. Perfect Paradise to me.
Reply:My perfect day would be spent preferable at the beach with my aunties in the hammocks [one is 89 and the other 93] recalling memories from yesterday and we laughing together about them. Even if it were rainy, it would be perfect for we have had many fun times. They would say the farmers need rain;then move on with the sharing. They are both optimists who see life from a different perspective; and they are great teachers.
Reply:A day just about like you described only a little bit warmer, say around 80 degrees, the first day of summer vacation when I was about 10 years old. I loved those hazy, lazy, crazy days of summer back then. Summers seemed to be twice as long as they are now and I loved them all. I used to love waking up to the song of the meadow larks
Reply:Well, after watching the latest available episode of DEXTER on my local non-cable televison station, I'd say that a perfect day might be one where a really bad person is drained of their fluids %26amp; sliced for observation purposes. Strange answer, I know, but it just seems to fit at this moment in time!
Reply:A lovely day of doing just what I want, instead of doing what
I have to do. Relaxing, going to the beach, listening to nice music. Then, in the evening, going out with friends and family to a nice restaurant or to their home, so I don't have to cook.
The weather helps too. In the 70's, clear, warm, light breeze.
Reply:being pain free
Reply:Beautiful sunshine , blue skies , a light wind, around 75 to 80 degrees, with my granddaughter making sand castles on the beach and me watching her and a good book would be nice also
Reply:A perfect day for me would be to be able to play bridge all day long with my friends, a nice lunch and snacks. Play outside with no wind and temp. about 75, sunny with scattered white fluffy clouds.
Reply:It wouldn't matter the weather it would have to be no screaming, yelling, fighting and lots of yes mam's and fun and giggles at home with the kids and hubby! Oh and no accidents from the dogs!!!!!!!! I am smilling just thinking of that day!
Reply:warm hazy days on the water where the sun makes the sea look like glitter. Whe you can hear the ripples of soft water hitting the side of a boat and the smell of a bar-b-q well on it way.
Reply:Just like it is today, sunny, not to hot, not to cold, a gentle breeze, blossoms on the trees in bloom, smells so loverly. I wish everyone could have a pain free day.
Reply:DAY: Fishing at a stream with a picnic basket lunch
EVE: Outdoor concert with a picnic basket supper
Reply:Yours sounded like a great day to me.
I too love the Spring time of the year. Everyting begins to bloom and I love to hear the birds singing. Our lake is so peaceful and the ducks are out enjoying themselves.gliding around on the lake or coming to my yard so I can feed them. I also have a bird feeder and bird house. so they will come around and sing. I like to sit out on my sun deck and read a good novel with a glass of ice tea or lemonade. Or take a ride in my peddle boat and just relax in the moment.
Reply:Sunny ideal beach weather with an ocean breeze
Reply:You expressed it so perfectly.
I remember what singer/songwriter, Justin Hayward, of the Moody Blues told when he wrote 'Tuesday Afternoon.' He spoke of a beautiful Spring day when he took his guitar out to the countryside in England, walking into a field of tall grass where he sat and this song came to mind. The gentle sound (voices) of the wind rustling through the leaves. Yep, I when I think of a beautiful Spring day, I think of this, sitting in a field of tall grass on a warm Spring day with the wind, the flowers and the trees surrounding me. Life is good, beautiful, and precious. (I'm a big Moody Blue fan in case you didn't know. lol)
